After yesterday's chipper WOD many (before and after) weren't the most pleased with their ability to perform a single leg or "pistol" squat properly. For most athletes, it has very little to do with leg strength but more of a mobility issue. Attached is an article that will give a good breakdown of exactly what is needed for a proper single leg squat and how to progress toward full mastery of such an elusive movement.
