WHAT SHOULD YOU DO TO MAXIMIZE YOUR CROSSFIT EXPERIENCE: INTRO

In this, the first of our CrossFit Hard newsletters I would like to welcome you to our community. 

We have been open just over two months now and are already building a great competitive atmosphere; fueled by friendship, fun and fantastic workouts. 

In this short time all of you have displayed tremendous growth, both physically and mentally. Each of you are getting stronger, faster and fitter as well as more capable of attacking serious WOD's with confidence. All the while, friendship, encouragement and motivation grows daily in our box.

Today I wanted to share a few things I have learned over the years that will help you get the most out of your WOD. Let's face it CrossFit it is a commitment in both time and money. To be sure you are taking full advantage of your time at the box remember the following:

Show up on time. This is self explanatory but more important than most people understand.

Be ready to work out. This seems to be obvious that I can't possibly count the number of times I have been tripped up by it or see it trip others up.

Be rested. Easily the most important item on this list.

Consume the right and enough nutrients. Extremely important second only to getting enough rest. 

 

Stick to a schedule. Commit to a workout schedule and stick to it.

 

Bring the correct attitude. Don't defeat yourself before you even show up.

I will go into each of these in more depth over the next few articles. Start thinking about these now to ensure you get the most out of your time in CrossFit.
