Nigerian born, moving to the US in 1996 at the age of four, David has always been a very active and energetic youth. Primarily a sprinter in high school David competed in the USATF Junior Olympics (Region III) but later branched out into more extreme activities such as downhill long boarding and playing rugby for his university competing as a nationally ranked team.

Upon completing his track career in college David found himself working out with no outlet for his physical prowess. Catching a glimpse of the 2011 CrossFit Games, he fell in love with the idea of general physical preparedness and once beginning his rugby career, his coach used a CrossFit style of training for their team practices further emphasizing this love. Through these CrossFit focused training sessions he was fitter, faster, more explosive and more mentally strong on the field than ever before.

Having recently graduated from Coastal Carolina University, David at the tender age of 22 is the fittest he has ever been. He believes one’s body is a temple and should be treated as such. David is a strong proponent of the belief that all have been blessed with natural and innate physical abilities and it is their responsibility to explore the boundaries and limits of those gifts.

Aside from his personal passion for physical fitness, David takes pride in helping others grow stronger and become better versions of themselves. Every time he sees their WOD times drop and their lifts go up in weight it is a personal win for him. As a former Global Health/Injury & Violence Prevention Intern at the American Public Health Association he had completed studies and conducted research on health issues throughout the United States and nations overseas that he took very much to heart. He loves the fact he can make such an impact in the lives of strangers in such a fruitful and dynamic way, as is fitness. David feels anybody can be fit, anybody. He plans on pursuing a CrossFit kids certification as his future goals are to train youth, keeping them out of trouble and enhancing their quality of life (basically David wants to be Graham Harding…)
